• Our beach clean-ups are our way of looking after the lake that’s part of our everyday life. We organise regular clean-ups around Panajachel, bringing together locals, friends, and travellers who want to help care for this place we all share. It’s a simple, meaningful way to keep our town and shoreline healthy- removing waste and keeping the lake looking its best. If you’d like to take part, you’re always welcome. Keep an eye on our socials for the next clean-up!

STREET DOG SUPPORT

There’s no secret that Panajachel has a large population of street dogs, and many of them struggle to find enough food or a safe place to rest. It’s a real issue in town, and while we can’t fix everything, we try to make a small difference where we can. A few of these dogs have made The Little Spoon part of their daily routine—they stop by for a meal, fresh water, and a sheltered spot to relax during the day. Offering them comfort and consistency is our way of supporting the animals that share this town with us. If you see them curled up in the café, they’re part of our extended family.
